Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

settlement caps

is there a cap or limit on the settlement award in my state. i heard that in the state of calif. you can not recive more than 50,000.00 on a workman comp. case

I practice in California and have had settlements well over $ 100K. It is an arcane area of practice, especially when it comes to evaluating claims.
