Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

settlement check question

my fiance is very close to getting her settlement.. she signed the paper work on the 24th of january her lawyer gave her the impression that she would get her check right away.. i was just wondering if you knew what kind of time frame they have for mailing the check since we could very much use it.. Thank you..
