Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
settlement
Hello,
I have a workers comp case and my question is what part of the settlement does my I attorney receive? I have been receiving SSI which put a lien on my settlement. Does my Attorney take 15% of the total settlement or after I payback SSI?

An attorney is entitled to 15% only in unusual circumstances, otherwise the fee is a flat 12%. The attorney is entitled to a percentage of the permanent disability before payment to SSI etc.
