Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Slip and Injured

I slipped @ work A year ago and my company is self insured. They have not denied me of anything. However I may now have to have back surgery. Should I get a lawyer on retainer or just see what my company does for me. Do I need a lawyer only if they deny anything or should I just have one in my corner if something goes wrong. Any help would be great.

Thank you for your time

Mr. Ouch.....

Re: Slip and Injured

From what you say, it sounds like you have been representing yourself fairly well. Every WCAB has an information and assistance office to answer questions. I recommend you call the office and ask to speak with someone. They can then advise you regarding what to expect with your claim and whether you should get an attorney.
