As a small business/sole proprietor in california how do I provide workmens comp for my employee?

Contact several Workers' Comp. insurance carriers and see which gives you the best overall deal. Find out what experience rating they will give, any dividends, etc. speak to others in your line of business to find out their experience. Some businesses form an associations in order to purchase insurance at a discounted rate because they are pooling their assets and liabilities.
