Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

In the state of Ca. if you are injured at work and workers comp is taking care of the medical bills and i quit the job will workers comp still pay for medical bills as long as claim is open? even if i quit the job?

Yes, you will be entitled to medical treatment. However, there may be issues with Total Temporary Disability, TTD. If the medical provider finds that you can return to work with restrictions even though you are not permanent and stationary, and you have quit the job, then any good defense attorney is going to argue that you are no longer entitled to TTD. However, again, the carrier will be responsibe for the medical bills. In fact, no one can force you to give up your lifetime award if the doctor finds that you will need future medical treatment.
