Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Why a status conference 8 years after settlement?

What could be the purpose of this? I just received a notice that there is a status conference for my workers comp. case, which was already settled in 2001. I have been declared permanent and stationary, and have been paid all of my settlement money. I looked up my name on the WCAB database, and it says my case is ''active.'' I thought it would be closed by now!

If your case had already settled, then it is probably a lien conference which should have nothing to do with you.
