Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Subject: Disabled firefighter

Hello, I am a former firefighter/ medic who was injured on the job 1996. 2 surgeries and a multitude of continuos care ever since (back). I recieved a lifetime medical award when my case settled and I had to retire(multiple back fusions ). My question is this: The insurance carrier for my lifetime medical care has offered what I consider to be an extremely low figure to buy my lifetime medical benefit.I would however, like to come to an agreement with them. Do I need an attorney again? How do I know what is a fair offer?? I am 45 yrs old, and I would estimate they spend at least $1000 to 1500 a month on meds and therapy ect...I am in a financial situation where this is necessary. Any advice?? Thank you so much

Re: Subject: Disabled firefighter

Picture yourself lying in pain at age 50, 55, 60, cursing your 45-year old self for having foolishly sold his lifetime medical benefit.
