Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Sun allergy due to work enviroment.

I have been employed as a pool monitor for two weeks, during that time I have devoloped an unbearable, progressivly worsening rash on my arms and hands due to exposure to the sun. My job requires that I be outdoors and in direct sunlight for part if not all of my shift ( 4 days 4pm-8pm, 2 days 11am-8pm). Should I file a Worker's Comp form to at least have this condition evaluated by a doctor? Since the only time I go out in the sun is at my job, am I correct in thinking this is a work related injury? Any info would be helpful. Thank You.

Re: Sun allergy due to work enviroment.

This does appear to be a valid work injury arising out of employment, and occuring duing the course and scope of employment. I would file a workers comensation claim with your employer and ask to be sent to a doctor.
