Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Supplemental Income

Hello,

I have a problem with my workmans comp. case. I am right in the middle of the case and it looks like the insurance company will have to provide me with vocational training in a new feild. However, while I'm waiting, my disability checks have stopped, I can not pay my rent and I am not allowed to take a job from what I understand. In order to obtain these benefits, is it true that I can't take some sort of part-time job? I can't eat or pay rent and I'm used to making a decent wage.

You may request a PDA which is an advance on your final award if you are in extreme hardship.
