Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I sustained an injury to my right arm while working in a day care setting. I have been receiving Workmen's Comp. pay, but recently received a letter from my comp carrier, stating they agree with a QME Physician, who stated it is Carpol Tunnel I have. I have had no testing to back this Physician up, or a follow up with my regular Physician who refered me to a specialist out of my area. Comp approved my seeing the specialist, and now they are telling me they will no longer pay for my injury, and that I owe them for payments from Feb. to Mar. I guess my question would be, can my Comp carrier cut me off without my regular physician stating I am fit to return to work, or can they go with only one QME physician's evaluation, and not see what the spcialist has to say about my condidtion? I have had no problems with my right arm prior to my falling at work, and have had no jobs which require repetitive use of my right arm.
