Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Therapy?

I opened a work case with a lawyer

last September 2008. I had an

accident while working for a cable

company and fell off the roof of a 2-

story building. Ive been seeing

doctors and have completed X-rays

and other things they have asked

but lately Its been a challenge

making it to physical therapy due to

the fact that i am not driving and ive

been struggling financially. They told

me to go about 3 times a week. So

ill go twice a week, sometimes once

a week and sometimes ill miss 2 full

weeks. Does this affect my case in

any way? Also, I rarely hear from my

lawyer, no calls, no letters, i dont

even know him. What should I do? I

would really appreciate the help.

Thanks

Re: Therapy?

It sounds like you're in a difficult situation because of your lack of ability to show up to your appointments. The good news is, I do not believe that your inability to show up to all your appointments will substantially impair your case, but for sure, it doesn't help. With that said, when your lawyer requests that you attend certain exams, like an Agreed Medical Evaluator, or a Panel QME, your failure to show could really damage your case.
