Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I thinki have undetermined nerve pain due to broken leg in 07

i broke my ankle and had avulsion fracture with high ankle sprain in june 9 2007...i finally got referred to a orthopedic surgeon who thought i had rsd...ihad 2 nerve blocks and due to them had side effects of back pain ...the pain dr noted that the pain spread to the opposit foot/ankle and right arm, my ortho dropped me yesterday sitin my pain returning after the nerve blocks to the same or more level says it is not rsd and he does not have an idea what it is or how to help me and had no one to refer me to he siaid to get a general doctoor to prescribe the meds and he was sorry to give up but he was and i was on my own it will take 3 weeks to dothe permanent and stationary as he is going on vacation...my attorney said to pick a new ortho from the treating list and send her a few choices...what if i have undetermined nerve pain....what does work comp do about that\? what do i do now? i only got 1 more year before it runs out ...also he did not deny i have the pain and even signed the same day he droppedd me for a permanent disabled placard....i am so confused!!!!! help me

At this point I think you are beyond an orthopedist and should select a neurologist or pain management specialist, someone who can adequately address the pain and nerve issues that seem so paramount in your case. Perhaps it is good that the doctor is going on vacation because you can get another opinion which might find you still TTD, unless of course you are ready and able to go back to work.
