Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

time limit on temporary disability payments

In the state of California is there a time limit on collecting temporary w/c payments? I have been on since 06/04/2003? I finally had back surgery and I'm worried they(the ins co) will discontinue benefits after a period of time.

Re: time limit on temporary disability payments

Your periods of disabilities will be determined by either a panel QME examiner or an Agreed Medical Examiner. In your case there may be long periods before your back surgery and some reasonable period for recovery and additional therapy after your surgery. However, The selection of the examiner and gathering the best medical evidence requires an experienced worker's compensation attorney. If you need representation, please call us at 213.388.7070.
