Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Traffic accident

I was in an accident in a non-conforming school bus. If I am found responsible what are the implications. Some one has told me it would be a charge-able accident? What does that mean? and would the corporations insurance still cover medical and damages?

Re: Traffic accident

First, I am not sure what a non-conforming school bus is, but either way, if you were working for someone while driving the bus and you became injured in an accident, your employer's responsible for paying for your medical care. Negligence is not a factor in workers' comp. However, if you were placed in a bus that was not fit for the road and that was what caused the accident, then your employer may be liable for what is called a "serious and willful."
