Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have an unresolved wc case that was filed in 2003. Every year I get notices of hearings of various kinds that have usually been cancelled. When it was actually held a few years ago, nothing was done. I just got a notice of hearing for a status conference. Is this more stalling tactics? I'm now 72 years old.

My attorney's office has been totally unresponsive when I've tried to contact them. Haven't talked to the atty in years. The secretary doesn't return my calls or email messages. Is there anything I can do about that?

Contact your lawyer and set an appointment to see him personally, not a secretary. Once there, discuss where this case is today, and then try to have him create a litigation plan with you, in an effort to move your case forward. If you are not satisfied with his response, then consider other counsel.

Good luck.
