Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My wife was awarded total disability from social security and has been receiving monthly payments for 09. She has two children (my step) and they also receive monthly payments placed aside in their own banking accounts. Question is: Do the children�s amounts come from my wife�s monthly total some (of around 800 per month) or do they get paid separately from her monthly check and/or on top of her monthly amount? . Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.. Not sure if I�m getting the right information from her on this.
