Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
My wife was injured on the job 3 1/2 years ago. She fell over a defective dishwasher door which had popped opened. The next day she was very sore and her hip hurt a lot. They sent her to occupational injury and they reported her condition and gave her an ok to return to work in a few days with some restrictions. The employer didn't like the restrictions, harrased her about it and that she missed work for physical therapy, and fired her. She got a supposed quality lawyer. The employer never denied the fault of the accident, and she's seen the QME 2 times. He gave her 2 favorable reports that say that she has deteriorated greatly in the 3 1/2 years because the insurance keeps jerking her around on treating it. For over 22 months of 3 1/2 years she didn't even have a treating physician to see. She needs a walker to get around and is in constant pain. Yet her lawyer can't seem to get her any disability payments, never answers her calls or questions, and allways seems unprepared. what should we do?

You can fire an attorney at any time. You should do that and find a WC attorney who will be better to represent you.
