Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
after being off work HR says that I have to submit a "accommodation request" in order to go back to work. If they can't accommodate me because they don't have a modified job for me, can they fire me? I am 62 now and have worked for the same company for 7 years.

If your employer can't accommodate you rthen you have to be remained on temporary disability and they can't fire you. If later your treating doctor or a QME or AME determined that you can never work for your employer (that rarely happens) them you need receive a settlement for permanent disabilities plus a 15% add on.
