work injury /disability
If i cannot return to previous job discription due to on the job knee injury,(required surgery for torn ligament). What can i do to help myself? i have a family and a mortage.

Have you filed a worker's compensation claim, obtained temporary disability benefits, and a final settlement? You are also entitled to vocational rehabilitation benefits, i.e., you are to be trained into a new position of comparable pay. You are to recieve benefits during the training. Voc Rehab
You should speak with the HR prepresetative at the company that employs you. If you are unable to return to your previous job, your employer is required to provide you with vocational rehabilitation to assist you in either obtaining another job, or moving to another department within the company that now employs you.
