Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have been injured at work, the doctor told me to take more time off, but I dont want loose my job, I am in pain but afraid to take time off, also the insurance company want me to release my past medical records, i had excisting condion a few years ago, do the workers comp insurance has the right to my medical records? should I release it to them? what's my right

You have the right to be taken off work while you are treating and receive temporary disability benefits. As far as releasing, I recommend not to sign it and not to give any statement. You will be much better off to be represented by an attorney in a deposition setting when you are adequately prepared for the deposition.
