Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

work provided insurance

i asked my work for insurance after my probation. they forgot, a asked again and broke my foot the next day(may 2007) out front of my my friends condo. i payed for it out of my pocket. i went back to work for them after 4 months. worked for 4 more months and quit. i am working a new job and hurt my wrist on the job. i think i have soft tissue damage and will need surgery to repair.
