Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

worker comp

I have an old claim and I have been treated for it over the years. I have the right for treatment and medical for life for a right knee injury. But everytime the doctor request to run test or now I need surgery they are denying. What can I do. I contacted the local attornies in the area they will not handle old retirees and worker's comp cases. Is there something legally I can do? Also, the doctor who originally performed the surgery, w/c retired years ago.

If you have a Panel QME, then you need to submit the request to the Panel. If you have an AME, supra. A penalty petition can always be filed for unreasonable delay. An attorney should take the case if enforcement of an award is an issue. You can file a complaint with the audit unit if there appears to be a pattern of unreasonable delay.
