Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have a workers comp case, due to stress, anxiety & harrassment at the work place. My case seems to not be going anywhere, I have used all TD payments and no longer have been receiving any money for over a year and I am in need of money for bills etc. Can I ask my workers comp attorney for a advance in money? and how much could I ask for? or what can I apply for to bring some income to my home.

You need to move forward with your case and get evaluation by AME/QME which will take some times but then you will be entitled to an advance. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.

Giving you an advance would be considered funding your case and is deemed unethical [if plaintiff attorney's gave out advances they would send most of their time acting as bankers and not lawyers]. Once TD stops, the WC insurance carrier is supposed to evaluate your injuries and if you do have any permanent disability make reasonable advances of PD--few do.
