Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

if my workers comp doctor told me to work without restrictions, but i have incredible pain, can i choose to not work instead?

You may get fired for not showing up to work. You need to retain an experienced attorney who will change your treating doctor. The new doctor can certify you for disability if you can't go back to work and you will receive temporary disability benefits while you are treating. So I recommend not to quit.
