Your are covered by W.C for this injury. Since your employer pays for you to park in that lot, it is deemed to be to his benefit that you do, so you are considered to have entered the employment premises once yo get out of your car, including if you should get injured crossing the street to go onto the physical premises of the business [as long as you are taking a relatively straight path to work; if made a detour to go to the neighboring Starbucks you probably would not be covered falling there]. You might also have a tort claim against the owner of the garage if something was left on the stairs causing you to fall.
