Can you be on Worker's Comp having 2 operations on hands and writst and file for retirement?

Yes. However, if you apply for retirement you are pulling yourself out of the labor market and therefore will not be entitled to total temporary disability if you qualify. Unless you are going to receive your full salary, it may be beneficial to stay on TTD until your reach maximum medical improvement, then consider retirement. Further, it you are considering a challenge to the permanent disability rating based upon diminished future earnings, your application for retirement will negate the argument because you will have no future earnings.
