Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
worker's comp types of settlements
I live in California. If I stay at my current job, can I still do a C&R and cash out my future medical? My claim's specialist told me I couldn't.

Your claim adjuster is not an attorney to give you advise for your best interest. You can settle with C & R that includes future medicals. Call us at 213.388.7070 if you need representation.
Re: worker's comp types of settlements
If you're still with your employer, generally, they do not like to enter into a C&R. Instead, you will probably enter into a Stipulation With Request For Award. However, if your employer has new workers' comp insurance carrier at the time of settlement, then sometimes they will enter into a C&R and allow you to remain with your employer.
