Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

worker's comp-bodily injury

I was injured at my place of employment on 9-13-07. I am unhappy with my Orthopedic Dr and feel I have not been treated appropriately. I would like to see a Doctor-out of my area-close to where my family lives so I can have help with post surgical care if that is to be the couse of treatment. Am I allowed to go out of my area? I live in Central Calif and would like treatment in So. Calif.

If you have already moved or planning to move, you are entitled to change your treating physician. The insurance carrier may force you to stay within the MPN (Medical Provider Network) and I need a lot more facts to advise you whether they can or they can't require you to do this. We are located in southern california and we can change your treating doctor even within the MPN. Feel free to call at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
