Does workers compensation in California cover visits to physical therapy for the work related injury if it is during work hours?

I THINK you are asking if you should be reeiving Temporary Disability Payments for the hours your are at therapy.

NO.

Workers Compensation LAWS (the california labor code) does require the Employer/Comp insurer to pay the therapist for treatments "reasonably" required to relieve the injury. So Comp does "cover' therapy as far as therapy bills.

But as far as your lost hours, no, if you leave work, you lose hours.

SOLUTION: INFORM the doctor and the therapist you cannot lose time from work so if doctor appointments and therapy cannot be set for time slots before or after work hours, you will be switching primary treating physicians or therapists to a place that will provide visit times before or after work hours.
