Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Worker's Compensation

I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel and is awaiting surgical evaluation. I received documentation from my company's ins. The question was asked: If there were restrictions or limitations after returning to work, would the company be willing to accommodate? The response was that there were no accommodations available. Would you recommend I seek legal representation?

Thank You for you time.

Re: Worker's Compensation

Remember, the insurance company is looking out for their interests only and not yours. I do recommend legal representation. If you live in the LA or San Fernando Valley areas, please feel free to contact my office at 818.285.0520.

Re: Worker's Compensation

realistically, legal representation is always a good idea. However, if your issue is the employer's failure to provide modified or alternate work, it is probably a waste becaue the employer has no obligation to provide modified or alternate work. You will be forced to find another job that fits within your limitations.
