When is Workers' Compensation required (not required)?

Is Workers' Compensation required if business is solely owned and operated by owner?

If you own and operate the company and there are no employees at all you are not required to carry workers compensation insurance for yourself. Workers compensation insurance would be required, however, if you have even one employee even if that employee works very minimal hours.
