Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
I was working for 6 weeks on-line for a company located at another state and did not get paid. I am pregnant and they knew about it. They did not sigh a written agreement with me promising to do that all of this time. What can I do to get my payment - $5000 agreed orally?

This is an employment law and not Workers' Compensation question. You need to go the state labor commission to find out if they can help; contact the labor bureau in the state the company works in. There must have been something, even just an e-mail showing that you were hired and the terms.Later you will have to consider if they have sufficient business ties to California that you can sue them in Small Claims Court here and then find any assets in Ca. to go after.
