Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

workmans comp doctors

I slipped and fell at work about 1 1/2 weeks ago I went to the emergentcy room and they gave me 2 days off and told me to return if I was still in pain which I did and they gave me three more days off. They took xrays and told me that there was no broken bones but there might be nerve damage and to return if I was still in pain and they would run more tests I called my doctor to be seen by him and he refused to see me A workmans comp agent called me and told me not to return to the hospital but to see one of their docs Do I have to see him or can I find my own doctor

What do you mean by a workmans comp agent? Do mean your attorney? Why would you consult and get legal advice from non-attorneys when you may a get professional opinion by a real attorney? You may have to dispute your physician's findings and change your doctor. If you are not represented, contact our office at 213.388.7070 for free consultation.

You can choose your doctor, but he must be on a MPN list which the insurance company has.

However, it is best that you hire an attorney because those that do not usually end up in pretty bad shape when all is said and done.
