Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Hello I'm worried because I don't fully understand so here goes went to Msc

meeting ny lawyer wants me to wait two more years it's been 14 years i need to Nd want to settle so he said to call him on Monday and hopefully defendants will start paper work I wad already in the workers comp court blog waiting Anaheim ca I thought if we settled papers drawn up there abd we all sign including judge Its Tuesday why would ny law yet not complete if I cost to settle why thank you Michele! The lawyer does NOT want you 'to wait two more years' because he gets no $$ for years.

If the attorneys came up with a number that you will accept to close every issue, then the defense attorney has to convince an insurance Adjuster...and if that insurance adjuster agrees it's fair, then s/he has to convince the company/agency where you used to work (or maybe an 'excess' insurance company or a water district board or a school board). The settlement documents can not be drafted until the people with the 'purse strings' agree to the amount and terms proposed.
