Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Hello, yesterday on the payday my employer, instead of handing me my paycheck, he hand it to my coworker and asked her just to give it to me, this my check wasn't sealed in the envelope or protected from being seen, so obviously she can read all of my personal information: such how much i make, while rest of the employees in our office went to his office to get checks personally, would it be legal, violating my privacy that way, please advise? Thank you

This is not a WC question and should be posted under something such as litigation. It is questionable if you have a right to privacy as to your paycheck. Even if you do, all you can d is tell the employer not to do that in the future as if you make too much of a fuss your job might be in danger.
