Legal Question in Business Law in Canada
Barter Agreements
Hi there,
In a barter agreement, how can the credit for a product and service - and transferability of that credit - be legally binding?
Are there any standard barter agreements that stipulate such elements?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Barter Agreements
A barter agreement is like any other contract and will be enforceable provided the elements of a valid contract are met - i.e., offer, acceptance and an exchange of consideration between the contracting parties.
You will need to read the terms of the barter agreement that relate to the transferability of a credit.
