Legal Question in Business Law in Canada
General Partnership Problems
I am co-founder of an online web community. My business partner is currently out of the country and over the last few days has changed passwords to all of our services without explanation.
I am unable to access our intenet payment merchant gateway, email, admin panel, servers etc.
We are registered as a business partnership in BC but do not have a contract between us.
How can I get access to everything and what rights do I have?
Most of the technical things are in his name as he is the technical guy and I am the marketing / business development guy.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Re: General Partnership Problems
As a partnership you have all the same rights that he has to contact your email, internet payment services, etc. So I suggest that you contact the service providers right away and gain access back by explaining the situation and showing proof of your partnership.
After that, you will be in a better position to sort things our with your partner.
