Legal Question in Business Law in Canada
lottery
I have recieved a letter in the mail saying I won $50,000 threw crown international lottery. I spoke with a lady named Suzan Moore and she said that the laws in the USA and the laws in Canada are diffrent, that i would have to pay a clearence fee of $2780.00 that they was going to pay it for me in order for my funds to be sent to me.They sent me a check for $2780.00 and i was suppose to western union it to the capital of canada.I deposited the check in my account it came back a fraud check. I spoke with mrs.moore a few times after that and she said i still won that they have a investigation going on in that dept. and her supervisor would be getting in touch with me. I havent heard anything from them since. Is there anything I can do?

Keep your hand on your wallet, and blow them off. It's a scam.
Re: lottery
Welcome to the world of internet scams. If you are just now getting one of these letters, you are a couple of years behind everyone else.
Ever now and then some one will pay the "advance fee" and lose their money. There are so many of these scams going on that the chances of locating and prosecuting them is virtually nil.
P.S. You were very wise to wait until their check bounced before you sent them anything.
