Legal Question in Business Law in Canada
Refund from a internet purchase from Canada using Paypal gone bad?
I purchased backstage passes (for my two little girls) for a Hannah Montana concert from a Canadian company for $600. I used Paypal because I thought that would be safe. (I found them through Ebay but did business outside of Ebay). The passes did not arrive on time. They arrived a day after the concert. They were not even passes but colored wristbands. They were supposed to be shipped via Fedex but were sent via Canada Xpress Post (U.S. Priority Mail). They were to be shipped 2 weeks after I paid but were shipped a month later. (5 days before the concert). I kept in touch through email and was told not to worry they'd arrive. I was even told that they'd put me on a media list if they didn't make it. When they didn't arrive on time and I asked for my refund, they said it was not their fault. It was because of Customs that they got held up. So I tried Paypal, but they said I filed for a complaint 4 days after their deadline and they couldn't do anything! I was outraged! This company gave me guarantees through email (and on the terms of agreement) of the passes arriving on time, being shipped through Fedex, being able to go backstage, take pics, etc. Now they refuse to give me anything. Please somebody help me...

You can confirm their true location and then have an attorney there file suit in small claims.
