Legal Question in Technology Law in Canada

private email made public.

A part of a private email content is made public by one party in the email in an online bulletine board.

There was no prior agreement between the email parties that was regarding to the nature and privacy of the communciation.

question:

1. Is there any part of this action that violated any law anywhere?

2. Can the party that posted the email stop the bulletine board involved to give out IP address and private information if the bulletine board faced by a court subpoena?

thank you.

Re: private email made public.

Your question is not clear enough for me to give you a complete answer. You need to provide more facts, such as are the computers work or private, how many people received the email. There are ways to getting private information off of a board; contact the board and inform them of the private information, your desire to have the posting removed and mention anything in the posting that is not true.
