Legal Question in Consumer Law in Canada
buying a truck
I would like to know what are my rights. I bought a truck on the weekend and I think the agent did not tell me the right price for the truck. I saw it listed for much less on the website. I think he marked it up. I asked him to show me the spec sheet with the price on it, but he couldn't. He said they didn't have one. Is there anything that I could do?

Re: buying a truck
Selling a car for more than the advertised price is illegal in California, unless the advertised price was a typo. You have an action for damages, and could sue in small claims for the difference or hire an attorney, perhaps on a contingent fee. Make sure you download the website ad before it disappears.
