Legal Question in Consumer Law in Canada
White to Yellow
I had a custom wedding gown made last year. So to me it is irreplaceable. It cost over $2000 to have it made. I took it to the dry cleaners who has a sign in their window that advertises that they do wedding gowns. The dress was unrecognizable when I picked it up. It was white when I dropped it off and now looks like it's been soaked in a tub of coffee. They offered to clean it, but isn't that what I had them do in the first palce? My question is, Is it worth filing a lawsuit against the cleaners? I don't know what exactly was done to the dress, I'm not an expert, but I know one thing, it wasn't cleaned.

Re: White to Yellow
It sounds like you have a cause of action against the dry cleaner. Is the dry cleaner located in California or in Michigan? If in California, you will need to file in California.
Good luck.
