Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Canada

Collecting Past Due Bills from Companies out of the Country

I am a small business owner in Texas. I have a signed contract from a Canadian firm for services rendered to a store that they own, but in incorporated here in Texas. They are refusing payment. Is there any legal recourse I can take on the Canadian Headquarters to colloect payment? Can I take action on the store that is incorporated here in Texas?

If the company has an office in TX, you can sue them here. The out of state corp. is supposed to register with the Sec. of State. If you want my assistance in this matter, please give me a call.

I have sued various foreign companies. Tey key issue is if the debtor has attachable assests here in Texas. If they do this is a simple case. If they dont then its more dificult and expensive to confirm a foreing judgement in Canada. As to suing the Canadian company it is easier under NAFTA related process laws. I would be happy to discuss this with you. If I can help please give me a cal.
