Limitations on civil judgements

CHMC has as a judgement against me. In 10 yrs have never had any documentation from them. Does this me I can never mortage or own again. Is there a time limit on this.

In general, in British Columbia, a judgment that is older than 10 years can not be enforced; this assumes that within that 10 year period you have neither made a payment nor confirmed the existence of a the debt.There are exceptions, and you should consult a lawyer concerning the specifics of the situation. The law varies from Province to Province.
