Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Canada

question

i have a problem . i have been divorced since1993, we had two creit cards ,one was hers and the other mine. we both wre resonsable forare own cards. but both our names were on both cards. when we divorced i had her name taken off of my card, and her card still had my name on it. the problem is she will not take my name off , she as been paying all along on it and using it sence divoice back in 1993. i need my name off her card, is there a legal way i can go throw to get my name off of it. as i have had nothing ever to do with that card. can you please let me know.

Yes - in British Columbia, yo can ensure that the debt owed on the card is paid down to zero and then approach the credit card company and have your name taken off.
