Whether or not you have to pay old credit card debts depends on several factors; the Province you live in (as all Provinces set their own limitations periods); the Province where the debts were incurred, the credit card agreement, the date of the last payment; correspondence or other wrtitten document dealing with the debt. These are the main, but not the only factors. The questioner shoud seek legal advice.
