Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Canada
verbal agreement legally binding in small claims court
I had a verbal agreement with witnesses with a contractor to pound a well at my home I was building. He quoted an estimate of $5000 for a well of up to 200 feet. The well was 165 feet. The bill we recieved was for $8212.12. We paid him the $5000 as agreed upon and he is now taking me to small claims court. Do I have a case?
