Legal Question in Criminal Law in Canada
i was charged with flight from police... i have no idea how serious this is. or what the sentence could be.

This is serious enough, apart from any penalty, whether jail, probation or a fine, depending on whether or not you have a prior record, and the extent of that record. Even if you get off lightly, you still face a mandatory minimum one-year driving suspension.
Remember, the fact that you are charged does not make you guilty. This offence was only created about 10 years ago and the alleged circumstances may be open to interpretation about whether they fit the definition of the crime.
