Legal Question in Criminal Law in Canada
Cause A Disturbance
I was in Canada and was watching two police officers beat up some kid so myself and my friend turned around to go home and I said ''f the police'' and a officer heard me and arrested me for ''Cause a Disturbance In or around a public place'' (Section 175 (1)(a)(i)) I spent the night in jail, paid $500 canadian dollars and they are making me go back for court in a few weeks. What should I expect? Am I supposed to have a lawyer for this? As much info you can provide would be great. Thank you.

Re: Cause A Disturbance
This is the kind of matter I have dealt with on numerous ocassions. Frequently, I am able to reach a settlement without my client making an actual court appearance. Further, a client may end up with no record at all. Please check out my site at www.1law1.com or see previous questions and answers at this site.
